Open from December 26 to mid-February

The Most Popular Activity in Winter

Winter in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade is everything but boring. In fact, this small town is the world capital of tomcod. Each year, when the ice is thick enough on the Sainte-Anne River, more than 500 heated cabins await you on the ice. Then the ice fishing season can start! You will love the experience of fishing through the ice.

A hole is made in the ice of the cabin's floor to fish for the “petits poisons des chenaux”, commonly known as tomcod. In Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade in winter, apart from fishing, you can also go skating, sliding and even visit an interpretation centre on tomcod. Get ready for family fun!
