Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade

Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, with its picturesque streets and its beautiful church will charm more than one visitor. Several ancestral houses, which formerly belonged to important people, nowadays make a historical circuit, along with the Domaine seigneurial Sainte-Anne—Site Madeleine de Verchères. Each winter, from December 26 to February 15, a fishing village is set on the river and welcomes numerous Atlantic tomcod fishing enthusiasts. For those who would like to learn more about this famous fish, the Centre d’Interprétation du Poulamon (Atlantic Tomcod interpretation centre) presents exhibitions about this outdoor leisure.
