
The réserve faunique Mastigouche, located on the border that separates the Mauricie and the Lanaudière regions, covers a vast territory stretching over more than 1,500 km2. A large number of mammals, fish and birds live in this preserve in the heart of nature. More than 400 lakes and rivers add to the beautiful scenery that you can admire in every season. Canoe-camping enthusiasts, get ready to paddle!
If you prefer hiking, more than 40 kilometres of paths in the woods await you. You can also take advantage of the numerous lakes and rivers to swim on a warm summer day. Fishers can do their favourite sport in more than 130 lakes. If you prefer hunting, in fall, you can hunt for moose and small game. In spring, black bear hunting is allowed. Do not forget to buy your permit!
In winter, this wildlife preserve awaits you with its snowmobile paths that allow you to visit the region as well as cross to the bordering regions. You can also take the time to admire the beautiful landscapes of the preserve or admire the animals that dare spend winter here. A real oasis of nature and pleasure!
