Musée du bûcheron

Open from May to October

A Demanding Trade

The Musée du bûcheron invites you to dive into more than a hundred years of the woodcutting history in Mauricie. With its numerous forests, the Mauricie region was, for a long time, well-adapter to woodcutting and floating on the Saint-Maurice River. In the Museum, you can go on an interactive guided tour to learn more about the history of woodcutting and drive. You can also visit the 20 thematic camps like the forge and the sawmill. Visit the Museum to learn about the life of these wood workers in the 19th century.
