Québec's Storytelling!
The Festival de contes et légendes des trois rivières (FCLTR) is an event organised to spread our popular oral culture. In an atmosphere and a setting full of history, the Festival carries the population throughout the many forms of the art of storytelling. All the family is invited to attend the shows, the tales evening, historic and strolling activities and numerous games presented throughout the program. The population is invited to live a true sensory experience where the individual's sense of taste, touch will be appealed as well as the eyes, hears and nose. The tales and legends and other means of expression of the oral literature will be present during the Festival. However, the Festival still puts the emphasis on folk stories and tales.
In addition to music, shows, and activities, the public will be able to enjoy a festive and magical atmosphere in an inn built in the 18th century. The marvellous site of Jardins des Ursulines is thus transformed in a great place of history and culture.
The FCLTR will be held on September 13 and 14 of the year 2008. Around twenty participants from everywhere in Québec and the international will gather for the occasion.
