Your visit of the Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site of Canada will make you discover the remnants of the first ironworks in Canada. This company remained in function from 1730 to 1880. You can go on a guided tour of the site or walk in the interpretation path, along which stand interpretation panels to allow visitors to make a self-guided tour.
You can also visit the interpretation centre of the Ironmasters' House and learn more about iron production at the blast furnace. Discover the devil's waterfall by taking a footpath stretching along the beautiful Saint-Maurice River, or have a picnic on the site. You can even attend a sound and light show presenting a scale model of the village.
