The Ursulines Museum will make you discover or rediscover this religious community, which was very important to the history of the province. In fact, the Ursulines were the first to establish a school system in Quebec. It was also the first feminine religious community to settle in Trois-Rivières. They built a hospital in 1715 to cure the sick and the poor, and they managed it for two centuries!
The Museum moved in this building in the 1990s. You can visit the Museum accompanied by experienced guides. You can also visit the historic chapel as well as the ancient boarding school. Each year, a new thematic exhibition is presented to display the 15,000 objects that the Ursulines collection contains. Paintings, sculptures, objects made of gold, porcelain, embroidery and much more await visitors. During summer, several exhibitions are presented in Le Réfectoire.
