The Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac was built on the Tonnancour seigniory. You will discover an authentic flourmill that dates back to the seigniorial era. This mill is still functioning with its original mechanisms. You can go on a guided visit accompanied by the interpreter guides who will tell you all the secrets of the mill.
You can also visit the two permanent exhibitions, which are “Maître meunier” (Master Miller), which tells the story of the millers' lives throughout the centuries, and “Farine de bois” (Sawdust), which will make you discover the adjoining sawmill built in the mid 1900s. You will learn more about the origins of the wood that was used to build the beautiful houses of numerous villages in Quebec.
